Field note

Evidence packs controllers actually trust

Neatly arranged documents prepared for controller review

Controllers do not need every screenshot from your financial auditing app. They need a pack that answers three questions quickly: what changed, what was challenged, and what residual risk remains.

Structure that scales

Use stable folder names across months: 01-Inputs, 02-Reconciliations, 03-Exceptions, 04-Signoff. File names carry period, entity, and owner initials. Link each “cleared” status in the app back to a file ID — not a chat thread.

The one-page narrative

Module 6 of Monthly Close Audit Mastery insists on a single page: material movements, top five exceptions with dispositions, and open items with owners. Review meetings shrink when that page exists before the meeting starts.

Trust is consistency

A beautiful pack used once is theatre. The same pack shape for six closes is a control environment. That is the bar we set in Neihu Dist. workshops.
